e-health 2009
A successful initiative
It was held on the 25 and 26 of June 2009, at the Museu do Oriente (Lisboa), the meeting e-saúde 2009 – encontro das tecnologias de informação na saúde (e-health 2009 – meeting of information technology in health | www.e-saude2009.eu).
The meeting was an initiative of the Portuguese Ministry of Health, and the theme Innovation and Creativity in ICT in Health was developed in partnership with the Health Cluster Portugal, in the spirit of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation 2009.
The meeting’s generic theme was ICT in Health, including three main topics:
- Electronic Health Record.
- Innovation and Creativity in ICT in Health.
- Communications, Health and Mobility.
The event was highly attended by healthcare and ICT professionals, with the presence of nearly 600 participants. Given this success, further editions of the meeting may be expected for the coming years.
