HCP promoted the workshop "Management of intellectual property and regulatory affairs in clinical and translational research"

 

The HCP promoted, on 11 March 2013, in Porto, the workshop "Management of intellectual property and regulatory affairs in clinical and translational research".

This training action, organized in collaboration with Infarmed, INPI and IBMC.INEB, took place at the IBMC.INEB facilities, and it was attended by 50 participants, including researchers, entrepreneurs, R&D managers, technology transfer managers and regulatory affairs managers.

The first module, conducted by Nuno Pedroso, Patent Examiner at INPI, was dedicated to basic concepts of industrial property.

The second module, also conducted by Nuno Pedroso, was entirely dedicated to the search of technology information and biotechnology databases.

In the afternoon, Helena Beaumont, Director of the Clinical Trials Unit – Infarmed, delivered the module "How to conduct clinical trials in Portugal? Practical guidelines for Researchers, Sponsors and Clinical Trial Centres".

The last module, conducted by Judite Neves, Director of the Directorate of Health Products – Infarmed, was dedicated to "The circuit of medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices: overview of the obligations and procedures, and practical guidelines for the intervenients".
