HCP promotes a workshop on "Patents and Technology Transfer in Health"


As part of its activities in the field of intellectual property and technology transfer, the HCP, in partnership with INPI - National Institute of Industrial Property, I3S (IBMC + INEB + IPATIMUP), UPIN – University of Porto Innovation and University of Porto, will promote on 18 January 2011 a workshop dedicated to "Patents and Technology Transfer in Health".

The workshop, which will be held at IPATIMUP, between 9.00 and 18.00, is oriented for researchers with expertise in health, biotechnology and similar fields and without any knowledge or with basic knowledge of industrial property, and are potential patent applicants.

The workshop will focus on four major themes:
- Industrial property.
- Writing of patent claims.
- Technology transfer and strategies for exploring industrial property.
- Search of technology information / biotechnology databases.
