Dr. Luis Lasalvia successes are driven by his leadership in innovation, clinical strategy, and business management. Entrepreneur and strategist, Luis has been developing new programs, businesses & ventures in multiple fields. His unique combination of clinical and business insights give him a distinguishing perspective. He has expertise in a broad variety of functions (strategy, innovation, marketing, sales, clinical, business development) across the healthcare sector (clinical, pharmaceutical, consultancy, and medical device industries). In Siemens Healthineers, as VP Global Medical Officer, he’s pursuing a modern and effective healthcare. He’s proactively identifying and developing value propositions and new business models and programs, partnering with societies, hospitals and centers all around the world. Luis headed global companywide Clinical Marketing, led business development at the global Medical Office, and Managed strategic partnerships before that. He also led the strategy for Siemens precision medicine unit, in coordination with a number of pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer, and J&J. In addition, he drove Innovation, submitting multiple patents in US and in Europe, having led more than 35 big projects. He’s been invited to participate as guest and key note speaker in more than 500 events around the world, covering strategy, leadership, innovation, and management. He authored many papers in peer review and management journals, has practice as clinician in patient care, and as consultant for corporate business. His accomplishments in the pharmaceutical field are supported in the management of more than forty brands in 10 years of experience at Bayer Pharmaceutical and Gautier/Europharma. He's a Medical Doctor from the Republic University in Montevideo (1992), and holds a Master in International Business from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona (2004). He holds education studies from Harvard Business School (2012); The Wharton School of Business-University of Pennsylvania (2011), and New York University – Stern School of Business, NY (2010). Holds three Post Graduate Degree Diplomas: Business Administration (2002- Economic Science Faculty); e-International Business (2003-Pompeu Fabra University); and Marketing (1996-UCUDAL University).
