DigiHealthPT Partnerships Day: Digital Innovation in Healthcare

The DigiHealthPT Partnerships Day took place on March 13 at Atmosfera m in Porto. The event was organized by DigiHealthPT, the Portuguese Digital Innovation Hub dedicated to the health sector, coordinated by HCP. The British Embassy was the Institutional Partner of the event.

This event aimed to discuss digitalization in healthcare, as well as challenges, trends, and opportunities in the health ecosystem in Portugal and globally.

A brief presentation of DigiHealthPT, highlighting the Hub’s services and 2025 Activity Plan, set the stage for the event’s opening.

This was followed by the keynote session "Applying Innovation in the South London Healthcare System", where speakers Rishi Das-Gupta and Antonio Ruiz Gonzalez from the Health Innovation Network - NHS UK explored the NHS’s innovation strategy, with a special focus on prevention and health promotion.

The Roundtable "Fast-Tracking Success in Digital Health: Best Practices and Collaborative Insights" delved into key topics surrounding the development and scaling of SMEs with digital health solutions. The panel featured Pedro Castel-Branco (Armilar), Ana Brito (Instituto Pedro Nunes), Ivan Rarís (Cluster Saúde de Galicia), and Pearl Okeke (Health Innovation Network - NHS UK), discussing Business Models, the European Regulatory Framework, Market Access, and Internationalization.

The afternoon was dedicated to networking moments, with a highlight on the Pitch Competition, which gave the stage to five Portuguese companies with digital solutions for the health sector. The winners were Kinetikos Health, Complear, and Actif, receiving €1000, €500, and €100 vouchers, respectively, for DigiHealthPT services.

Running in parallel, the Brokerage Activity fostered networking and meetings between participants. Powered by the B2Match platform, in collaboration with ANI and the EEN network, this activity allowed participants to schedule meetings not only during the event but also online on the day before and after. The Brokerage Activity was also carried out in partnership with EIT Health, one of DigiHealthPT’s key partners.
