Health Cluster Portugal (HCP) is a private non-profit association that includes R&D institutions, universities, hospitals, civil society organizations, and companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technologies and services areas.
HCP respects the right to privacy by not collecting any personal and professional information without your consent.
This Privacy Policy is addressed to users of the HCP websites, informing them about the use, purposes and storage of the personal data collected in accordance with the purpose for which it was collected and in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation - Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

PURPOSES FOR DATA COLLECTION
This Privacy Policy applies to HCP websites and/or platforms and establishes the purpose of processing of any personal and professional data obtained and/or provided by users of HCP websites and/or platforms.
In this Privacy Policy “personal data” refers to a set of information, such as name, email address, professional entity, position and contact information. There are also other data that, do not directly identifying the user, but can identify a computer or device that visited the websites and/or platforms.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to websites, mobile/tablet applications or third-party services external to HCP, even though they are hyperlinked. In these cases, we recommend that you carefully read the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
The data collected may be used for the following purposes:
- Registration in organized/promoted events
- Registrations in private areas
- Questionnaire responses
- Perform analysis and evaluate the performance of HCP websites/platforms
- Sending information about HCP initiatives, news and other relevant matters
INFORMATION COLLECTED
“Personal data”: personal and professional data such as name, email address, professional entity, position and contact information provided by users, through forms set up for this purpose. These data is essential for the successful completion of the different processes.
There are also other data that, not directly identifying the user, but can identify a computer or device that visited the HCP websites/platforms.
Correspondence information: the most effective correspondence to and from the HCP is the email address: info@healthportugal.com. By requesting access to the Report you join our mailing list, from which we share events, news and other activities of the HCP. If you want to unsubscribe to our communications, please remove your email from the list, at the location indicated on the disclosure page. If you do not want to receive communication from us in the future, please contact us, by e-mail: info@healthportugal.com, noting this intention. Note that requests to remove information from file lists may take some time.
INFORMATION SHARED WITH:
The data provided for registration at events may, in some situations, be shared with third parties, whenever required for the event organization.
Service Providers: the HCP, in some events, collaborates with service providers such as the registration management company and companies that support the organization of the event. The HCP takes the necessary steps to ensure that our service providers protect your information on behalf of the HCP. If HCP becomes aware that a service provider misuses and discloses information, commercially reasonable steps will be taken to terminate or correct the misuse of the information.
RIGHTS
You may exercise your rights of access, information, cancellation, rectification, rebuttal, action of processing, data portability, opposition and automated decisions. You are also have the right to submit a complaint to the National Data Protection Commission.
Please note that if you choose to delete your information or refuse to collect and use it, it may imply that the registration process cannot be considered valid.
INFORMATION CONSERVATION TERM
The HCP will preserve your data for the necessary period, in order to fulfill the purpose of its collection, as well as within the scope of the applicable legal requirements.
INFORMATION SECURITY
The HCP makes every effort to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration and destruction. As such, we have adopted the levels of security and data protection required by law to avoid the issues mentioned above. However, the participant and author must be aware that no data security protocol is inaccessible and, as such, the HCP does not guarantee that the information cannot be accessed, collected, disclosed, violated and destroyed by unauthorized third parties, who act illegitimately. In these circumstances, HCP is not responsible for the damage caused.
CHANGE IN PRIVACY POLICY
The HCP may, at any time, update this Privacy Policy, so we ask you to periodically review this document for updates. By remaining as a participant and exhibitor it means accepting the changed terms.
CLARIFICATIONS
In case of doubt about this Privacy Policy, you should contact the HCP, through the means mentioned above. The HCP will resolve the matter in the minimum possible time.
