spinit® CRP

The spinit® CRP disposable disc is used with the spinit® instrument as a quantitative assay for the measurement of C-reactive protein concentration in whole blood (venous and capillary), serum and plasma samples.
Clinical utility The C-reactive protein (CRP) test is used by a health practitioner to detect inflammation. In a PoC setting, the CRP test by itself does not provide a diagnostic, but it can be used together with signs and symptoms and other tests to evaluate an individual for an acute or chronic inflammatory condition or to distinguish between bacterial and viral infection. It can determine whether antibiotics are required or not and therefore help to reduce the amount of unnecessary antibiotics prescribed. With spinit® CRP its possible to know in under 4 minutes the c-reactive protein value of your patients and, with the spinit® BC test, you can rapidly know a 5-part differential (lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils) and haematocrit, so you know which pathogen is responsible for each infection and what drug is best for each situation.
